The 'contents' title is placed in an unique form rather than simply across the top of the page. It stands out as different among other magazines. The bold white text contrasts the dark red used in the background which works well together.
The title 'features' uses a different font to the rest of the magazine to make it original but it also makes it obvious to readers that it is a title.
The subheadings are written in bold and capital letters to make the magazine readable and easy to understand.
The background colour is a dark red which forces the model to be more forceful towards the audience, it allows them to see he is the main feature of the contents page.
The model is topless to show his tattoos which strongly conforms to the stereotype of hip hop artists and rappers.
The use of the jewellery also helps to conform to the stereotype, but the mask can suggest that he is trying to be unique.
