GREEN SCREEN

What is a green screen?

A green screen is a film and video technique.  A green background is placed in front of moving subjects and are filmed which then allows a separately filmed background to be added to the final image.  To the right is an example of when a green screen is used.  When the weather is broadcasted, this technique is used.

How To Make A Green Screen

Firstly we set up the green screen, making sure it was tight to avoid seeing as many creases as possible in the post production.  We then filmed our footage that we were going use.  After this was done, we put the footage in Premiere Pro to edit it.  We imported the clip we were using into premier pro and cropped the video to where we wanted the clip to begin and the clip to end.

Next, we replaced the green screen background with a black background which made it easier to work with.

We then imported our image into premier pro, and dragged it into another layer, ensuring that it was beneath the main video.  Finally, we resized the image and the video to ensure that Daisy fitted onto the image.

Below is the final video of our green screen.
