SONG CHOICE DEVELOPMENT

When we first began looking at types of music videos and genres, we all wanted to choose ones that we were interested in the most, such as pop and indie.

Justin Bieber and Phillip George link more to pop music, Rihanna links to R&B and Arctic Monkeys is more indie rock. 

After doing our research into the pop music videos, we realised that in order to relate the song to the video, it would be very complicated as there has to be a detailed story or the scenes having fast motions.

After researching more into Arctic Monkeys, we noticed that the music video was very simple yet very edgy at the same time. We really liked that the video features a couple as a background story, a band performance and also close ups on the instruments.

We looked at three indie music videos, these were: 

• Arctic Monkeys - Do I Wanna Know?

• Jamie T - Zombie

• Two Door Cinema Club - Undercover Martymn

 

We decided that we prefered Arctic Monkeys as a band, an as a result we decided to use the song, Do I Wanna Know?
